Tilak png Transparent image

A Vaishnav tilak drawn as a clean transparent cutout – the long red urdhva pundra tapering to a point in the centre, held inside a bright yellow U, with a pale ornamental flourish fanning out behind it. There is no white box around the mark, so it sits directly on a photograph of a forehead, on a poster, or on a coloured card.

The red is strong and fully opaque while the scrollwork behind it is light, which means the tilak keeps its shape at small sizes and the ornament only shows when you place it large.

Where you can use this Tilak png Transparent image

  • Photo editing – placing a tilak on a portrait in PicsArt, Snapseed or Photoshop
  • Wedding cards, invitations and ceremony programmes
  • Temple notices, bhajan and satsang posters
  • Festival greetings for Janmashtami, Ram Navami and Ekadashi
  • Profile pictures and devotional social media posts

Design tips

When you place this on a photograph, match the angle of the forehead rather than keeping the tilak perfectly upright – a slight tilt is what makes a composite look real. Lower the opacity to around 85% so a little skin texture shows through the red.

On a printed card the yellow outline is what carries the design. Keep it against a deep background – maroon, saffron or near-black – and the yellow glows; on white it disappears and only the red reads.
